Paladin™ technology
We developed Paladin™ together with world-leading podiatrists, originally for the medical field. Soon we realised it had much broader appeal and now is integral to many of our sock systems.
Here’s what it does:
- A U-shaped cushioned pad placed on the top of the foot protects the bony areas and surrounds the dorsalis pedis artery. It lifts the pressure off that artery, aiding blood flow.
- This was crucial for people with diabetes, where circulation is compromised, but it’s just as helpful for everyone else. If you’ve ever had cold toes, shoe pressure, or discomfort from tight lacing, this pad helps relieve those issues.
- Applied to daily wear and performance sport, it eases foot fatigue, reduces friction from moving shoes, helps swelling during activity, and speeds up recovery.
ESS™ - Elastic Support System™
Fit matters. That’s why we designed ESS™ to lock your sock in, not squeeze it.
Here’s how it helps:
- Strategic elastic zones are knitted in to provide support where you need it, such as around the arch, ankle, and lower leg, without tight pressure.
- The amount and tension of elastic changes depending on the socks' purpose—running, hiking, work, etc, so you get precisely what you need.
- If your socks fit well, friction and rubbing drop dramatically, so you’ll experience fewer blisters and hot spots while remaining comfortable.
Comfort Zone™ Cushioning
Our Comfort Zone™ cushioning is designed for when your feet work hard, move fast, or need a little extra attention. Here’s how it helps keep your feet feeling fresh:
- A layered, plush cushioning system embedded in key impact zones—heel, ball of foot and sometimes toe box—acts as a soft shock pad underfoot.
- Walking, running, and hiking all put repeated force through these parts of your foot. Cushioning helps absorb impact, reduce fatigue, and protect bones and joints from stress.

Merino wool
